2012 HEAT Championship Celebration following Championship Parade.
At the moment the Miami HEAT won the 2012 Title, we had 48 hours to design, build and technically rehearse all staging, lighting, audio, video and graphic content.
The main video display wall split into two sections, the upper section ascending to reveal the MIami HEAT Players in the same positions as the Team Poster (image that appears on downstage wall. Upstage of the Players was a second video wall that became a secondary backdrop to the show. As each Player was introduced, he descended a central step unit, crossed downstage to the Larry O'Brien Trophy, and resumed same positions as the poster image.
Per the wishes of team management, each Player was to be interviewed. We added a secondary stage (not pictured) at the opposite end of the arena as a Player interview space, in conjunction with regional TV Broadcast unit. The addition of video features served as transitional moments between interviews. All these efforts were designed to keep show moving, active and unpredictable.
